COVID-19 Update: APPA Event Updates and Member Support Initiatives

As COVID-19 continues to affect our society, our industry and our Association, APPA remains committed to restarting our tradeshows and events as soon as it is safe and practical to do so and has responded by planning ahead as best we can.

New dates have been secured for Roadshow 2020:
Melbourne: Monday 31st August 2020, Melbourne Showgrounds
Sydney: Wednesday 2nd September 2020, Hordern Pavilion
Brisbane: Friday 4th September 2020, Brisbane Showgrounds
Adelaide: Monday 7th September 2020, Morphettville Racecourse
Perth: Wednesday 9th September, Ascot Racecourse

The show has been rescheduled to Thursday 8th October 2020 at Mount Smart Stadium.

Leadership Conference POSTPONED
Initially scheduled for May in Melbourne, this event has now been postponed until further notice.

The postponement of Roadshow 2020 has caused the cancellation of CONVEX for 2020. It would not be logistically or commercially sound to run these two flagship events so close together.

APPA Awards Gala Dinner CANCELLED
With the cancellation of CONVEX the Gala Dinner will not be held in 2020, however the awards platform will still continue with the awards being presented online in late August with a special APPA Awards for Promotional Products Marketing Excellence Virtual Awards Presentation.

Due to the postponement of NZ CONVEX, the Promo Show will also be cancelled this year.

By delaying or cancelling these events, we are making a meaningful contribution to the general public’s collective effort to mitigate the breadth of the virus and ‘flatten the curve’ of infection rates in Australia and New Zealand.

Although we are postponing these events, we are no less excited for them, and will be spending the ensuing months working hard to make sure that both NZ CONVEX and the 2020 Roadshow are our biggest and most exciting tradeshows yet.

APPA understands that this is a difficult time for businesses within the industry, many of whom are being challenged by the social and economic implications of the COVID-19 pandemic. We implore you to be strong, maintain professionalism, and most importantly, support one another through this unprecedented situation.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call APPA on 1800 69 2772.
