Sales Consultant

Position: Sales Consultant

Location: Silverwater NSW (in office)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

About the Role: 

Intex Group has been a major supplier to distributors in the promotional products industry for a long time. With 55 people employed Intex Group offers complete services (indent, stock ready to deliver, in-house printing and warehousing) through its brands OC Apparel, PromoStock and Orient Collection.  We are looking for person with the drive with costumer centric focus. We proud ourselves on attention to detail, best value and long term relationships with many industry partners.  You will be part of this.

Key responsibilities: 

Build rapport and strong relationships with distributors through:

  • Actively seeking their needs and specific details to ensure that the projects/goods are delivered on time and in budget.
  • Manage all communications via phone, email ensuring that responses are timely and within the expectations of our clients.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Managing Director to enable the most effective solution and pricing.
  • Maintain close relationships with all clients with prompt response and also proactive activity to assist with their needs.
  • Provide creative solutions to client’s projects that will be cost effective and meet client objectives.

Accurate recording     

  • Ensure that the “paper work” is completed and records are accurately maintained.
  • Clarify briefs, ensuring that all information required for production is documented and time plans are understood and meet clients expectations       
  • Work closely with other members of the sales team and sales manager to ensure that there are no surprises.  We pride ourselves on No Surprises!

Skills required:

  • High level of MS computer skills
  • Proficient at keyboard skills (including typing speed)
  • High level of time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and complex jobs
  • Highly level of writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and many multiple clients and jobs concurrently.
  • Experience with artwork software
  • Background in promotional products (manufacturing, print, supply logistics) would also assist but if you have the other skills you are encouraged to apply.
